A Plot in the Wild

I’m thrilled to share that one of my pen plotter videos has been selected for Project / Forward: 2049, a global video art exhibition launched by Micro Galleries.
This initiative reimagines the role of art in public space, focusing on how we envision the future—especially in uncertain times. The exhibition includes artists from around the world, with videos screened simultaneously on May 30 and 31, 2025, in 25 cities across 7 countries.
What I love most about this project is that it takes art out of galleries. No white walls, no grand openings—just a super simple setup, in the middle of real life. Screens in cafés, alleyways, community centers, shopfronts. It’s art that can happen everywhere, and anywhere.
I love the universality of that approach.
The selected piece is a pen plotter video—not just the final drawing, but the slow unfolding of it. The mechanical rhythm, the ink soaking into paper, the mix of logic and surprise. It’s generative, yes—but also very physical, almost human in its pace.
This global exhibition spans Australia, Indonesia, India, Nigeria, Norway, Spain, and the United States, placing these works directly into the urban noise, where they can catch people off guard and maybe shift their day a little.
Big thanks to Micro Galleries for inviting me into this beautiful chaos.

If you spot it somewhere, take a photo and tag me—I’d love to see where the plot ends up.
